Say cheese...

I got this necklace three years ago at an H&M in San Francisco. It was an impulse buy and tbh it reminds me of cheese so I love it. 

The tee is a recent purchase from Forever 21. I found it in the men's section and it comes in three colors - black/white, red/white and navy/white. I normally shop the men's section for tees because I'm a taller girl (5'9) and have a hard time finding casual tees in the women's department (of any store) that are long enough! Anyone else have that problem?

Currently on my last day of work before VACATION! 🌴 I am working on my packing list so I'll be snapping some outfit pictures and posting throughout the week.

National Sunglasses Day...

Happy National Sunglasses Day!

I LOVE sunglasses, lucky for me I live in Florida so dealing with the bright-bright-bright sun is happening on a daily basis. Sunglasses can help complete a look, or cover-up when you don't feel like wearing makeup, and most importantly, protect your eyes.

Right now, I'm all about big over-the-top sunglasses. Anything with glitter, rhinestones, crazy colors and fun lenses and frames...I am all in. Does that make me tacky? Maybe. But who cares in the name of fashion! I attempted the tiny glasses '90s trend going on right now and frankly, I looked like a crazy little space bug.

My husband tells me I look good in any shape and size of sunglasses (the perfect head shape, perhaps?) so that doesn't help in slowing down my addiction.

No Prob Llama...

I love, love, love when Lilly does animal prints. The Bay dress is one of my favorite styles of Lilly dresses. It's long enough for work, has a relaxed sleeve and always a cute closure detail in the back. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for more during the After Party Sale in August.

Also, can Lilly please make more prints in blue colors. Thanks.

Zara sale...

I got this dress over the weekend at the Zara sale - only $19.99! It has a bit of an oversized fit, not too long not too short on me (I'm 5'9) and it's perfect for summer. The Zara sale is one of the only times I actually go into the store. It happens about four times a year and is the best time to shop. I usually browse online throughout the year, and save a few favorites to purchase once they go on sale - this red dress included. 

My straw bag is really old, I thrifted it a few years ago from Goodwill for less than $5. I found one on Amazon for $35, but if you practice some patience, you can find plenty of them in and around thrift stores. 

Finally - my new favorite sandals. I love the new lines at Target, specifically Universal Thread. This is my second pair of sandals by the brand - they are so comfy! The footbed is cushioned, I wore mine all day and my feet were not even a bit sore.

Disney weekend...

We've been Annual Passholders for almost five years and are lucky enough to live an hour from Orlando, so we can escape for a Disney weekend anytime we want.

I love mixing and matching my Disney shirts with Lilly. The short sleeve spirit jersey came out last year at the Parks, and I honestly wish they would make more! It keeps me cool, is a little off the shoulder off the shoulder, and is long enough to wear with leggings. They have done some really pretty ones recently with long sleeves, but honestly it's too hot to wear long-sleeve ones in Florida - so I've not purchased any.

This is my last week of work before vacation - YAY. Here's to a short (stress-free) week.

Hot fun in the summertime...

I got this Free People cover-up/top/crochet masterpiece over Christmas break during Dillard's New Years sale. It's an XS, but about four feet wide - I LOVE it.

You can't go wrong throwing it over a camisole, over a dress, or as a swimsuit cover-up. I've seen this top recently at TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack, so if you are looking for it you may find it there. If not, I linked a sort-of similar top below.

This top was an impulse buy at Belk during their Memorial Day weekend sale. It definitely is brighter that it shows online - it's a really bright coral/pink color. It looks really great with Lilly, dark and white jeans, and shorts. Their brand Crown & Ivy has some really cute clothes, they tend to fit on the larger side, so I recommend sizing down when ordering. I pair mine with a white camisole. 

I'm so excited - this weekend we are going to Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We are Disney Annual Passholders, so I have my outfits for the parks down to a science! I'll be sharing those looks on Instagram and share outfit details in a post on Monday.

"Palms Up" for Wednesday...

I got this dress while vacationing in Asheville this past February at Palm Village Lilly Pulitzer Signature store. They were having a CRAZY sale - buy two get one free - on all sale items! This dress is so great for work because it's a longer length and has sleeves. I am on the taller side at 5'9 so Lilly dresses are hard to come by.

The girls at Palm Village in Asheville were SO nice. They were really friendly and went out of their way to help me find what I needed. I have emailed them several times now for hard-to-find items, and they are always willing to help hunt the down and mail them to me in Florida.

Per usual, I am wearing my favorite Jack Rogers' sandals, Carissa. While I can't find them on their site anymore, I have found them on Amazon and 6pm.com (as linked below) for a pretty good price. They are the most comfortable Jacks in my opinion, with a padded heel and slight wedge. Perfect for work during the hot summer weather.

It's so very hot here in Florida - we hit 100 degrees over the weekend! I love my Lilly dresses for work, they are great alone or with a lightweight cardigan.

Life shines...

I love love love dressing up, but today I just wanted to be relaxed. We did some grocery shopping, hit up Lowes for bird seed, and watched The Office, again.

I love my 30A Comfort Colors tee. It's incredibly soft, ages perfectly, and they come in so many great colors for summer. If you can't make it to visit 30A anytime soon, check them out online. They send out great coupons through their email list.

First I drink the coffee, then I do the things...

Saturday morning we ventured downtown to Intermezzo in downtown St. Pete. It's a great coffee shop/cocktail bar with tall ceilings, giant green palms, succulents, and white decor...aka an Instagram dream.

We had cappuccinos (delicious) and enjoyed the people watching before heading down to Haslam's Book Store. Since binge-watching The Crown on Netflix and becoming fully involved in the royal wedding, I've been dying to learn everything I can about the royal family. I knew Haslam's would be the perfect place to find the perfect book.

For my weekend adventure, I paired up a vintage Lilly Pulitzer button-down shirt, my favorite cut-offs, high-top chucks and the of-the-moment straw bag. The older Lilly shirts are oversized and long,  which as a tall girl, I LOVE. I can tie it at the waist, wear it long, or tuck it into some white skinny jeans. I found mine on Poshmark ($20!) and they are always popping up there or on EBay for decent prices.

Happy Friday, make it a good one...

Something I look forward to at work every year is our summer flex day program. We can work extra hours during the week and have half or full days off. Awesome, right? This outfit was perfect for grabbing an iced coffee (no sweetener, add cream please!) and a pedicure at my favorite salon.

If you live in St. Pete, I suggest checking out Nail Zone and Spa on 4th Street - they opened a few years ago and are simply the best! They do pedicures, manicures, brows, eyelash extensions, and waxing.
